Felted crochet

So the other day after my walking tour, I decided to hit the library and I found a copy of “Kooky Crochet”. The patterns were great, and one of them was for a felted fortune cookie. I had to have it!! It starts of with a crocheted circle that is folded and tied like this…

After that’s taken care of,I filled a tubby with hot water and a coupla drops of detergent. I put one rubber gloves with ridges on the palms and fingers, and proceeded to felt the buuger. It took about 10 minutes of good rubbing. Actually,it didn’t felt as much as full. But the piece gave the desired effect,so I’m happy with it.

After going through the book at the library,I decided that this book must be mine,so I’m heading to Barnes and Noble tomorrow to order a copy.

The hyperbolic ball is still growing and will be posted when I’m satisfied with it. Also still working on the Wool Peddler’s shawl in the purple alpaca. I haven’t touched it since I posted last, but will be working on it this evening. Okay, that’s it fer noo. Later taters!!!
